Increasing Access to Recreation

The Victoria Tool Library is pleased to announce the Increasing Access to Recreation project. Launching in December 2023, this project will integrate high-quality outdoor recreational equipment into our catalogue to encourage more residents to connect with parks, pathways and play spaces, more often. With funding from the Victoria Foundation and the City of Victoria, the Victoria Tool Library will help to reduce barriers to outdoor recreation by introducing gear such as camping stoves, pickle ball sets, frisbee golf discs, snowshoes, and life jackets into the library. Specialized recreational devices to support people with mobility challenges are also being added thanks to an exciting partnership with our friends at RAD (Recreation Adapted) Society.
