Increasing Access to Recreation

The Increasing Access to Recreation Project focuses on the expansion of the VTL Library to include high-quality outdoor recreation equipment and gear to encourage our members to connect with parks, pathways and play spaces more often. With funding from the Victoria Foundation and the City of Victoria, VTL now has available items like camping stoves, pickle ball sets, frisbee golf discs, outdoor games, and adult life jackets. We also have three specialized devices to support recreation for people with lower limb mobility challenges thanks to an exciting partnership with our friends at RAD Society. All items are subject to standard borrowing rules, terms and fines. Check out our GET TOOLS page for photos and to see if they are available for booking!
